‘Turnover Tables’

“So worth reading, take your time!” (Avid reader)
A curious phrase appeared in the beginning of Western publishing and printing, way back in the 1500s (16th Century)! “Turn over a new leaf.” The book pages were called leaves; it meant, ‘turn over to a blank page.’ Oh, the smell of new paper, that would grip the world in all its colours and textures! In the future the saying became a personal New Year promise; to do something different for a better life, or a major fresh change of behaviour after New Years Eve. Jesus Christ did a similar, but far weightier turn over act 2000+ years ago. In righteous anger, He began“turning over heavy tables” in the Jerusalem temple, whilst whipping and ‘beating up the priests’ of His hypocritical religion . It wasn’t a simple publishers paper turn, but a massive, timely timber turn over, heralding a total major change of true faith life and behaviour, with the Lord God of heaven. Religion reset, Jesus’ own imprint, forged on a ‘blank new page of fresh new covenant narrative,’ signed on His own table - Christianity. So… why did Jesus do it? The turning over tables…
Church Tables Today
You are in a substantial church meeting; comfy seating, air-con, an architecturally pleasing environment. Your money is paid, transferred, texted, offered; … millions$ a year in the collective. You ‘watch’ the worship band, the white screen lyrics and hi-tech visuals of colour, all very creative, incredible, and wonderfully validating as needed on huge wide screens. The multi-million dollar sound and lighting rig, the movie smoke, maybe dancers or painters, enhance the morning ‘worship experience,’ as many hot double-shot, well grounded coffee blends from the foyer cafe, are sipped and slurped. The announcements bring the usual dip in attention like ads on TV, and a fresh yearning for lush coffee 2, with palpitating hearts, confused as the anointing…
To lift the morning gathering, which only has an hour left before the next service, a cool dressed, enthusiastic ‘best life positive preacher,’ declares. “Who wants to be more like Jesus?!” The well-intended, well groomed congregation crowd, throw up their hands, shouting, “Yay!” Unfortunately, many had no clue, or realised what they were actually agreeing to, and soon lost interest as the service schedule barrels on, driven by the service producer controlling every movement and segue from the schedule list. Christian-culture-contemporary-lite, over recent decades, had slowly, and often unknowingly, created a different Jesus. One that seems apparently, to have a short attention span… One rarely questioned…
The meeting was over before you could think of a delicious enticing lunch menu, or a beach visit on a warm sunny day. Then the preacher with perfect teeth, aware of the time limit and the next growing crowd outside in the cafe foyer, shouted quickly. “Before you go home, come to your ‘new friend Jesus, he can be a mate,’ who’ll give you the good life, and make you free from troubles. Bring a friend to the front if you can. The rest of you, if you need too, are free to go through the exit doors. Enjoy your Sunday!…yayyy…” Then distracted… “yeah, see you in the green room… cap thanks… hot.” Mic is still on…
About five people, young and old, came forward, and with the altar team recited a short simplified prayer of convenience… with wide happy smiles, they went home with new positive thoughts about this cool Jesus…
It seems He sits at the comfortable temple table of modern lifestyle, success, looking good, getting you worldly things, raising money for building funds called ‘The House of God,’ where there are endless activities and programs to attend. Meanwhile, many of the faithful people sitting in the comfortable seats, continue suffering in their life, still deeply in deficit of understanding the word of God and who the real Jesus is; the unsaid list of control is endless, oh… and the same people are saturated in a perpetual must have coffee lift, just like in the…w…
Accurate
The answer to the said preachers pre-message question;“Who wants to be more like Jesus?!” is perhaps more like,“Oh really!!?”
In this end-time era, it’s time to turn that table over, and begin a new journey with a more focused intention; turning over the 1500 fresh leaves of Bible scripture. Why? To discover the real Jesus of course! The One who turns this world upside down. The One who every time His mouth opens some misguided religious fool wanted to kill Him and shut Him down! Still want to be like Jesus? Well… in these end-times, some tables will need turning! In the light of ‘even the very elect’ could be deceived. Therefore it is essential to know the true Jesus! (Matthew 24:24).
Jesus Reformer
Jesus Christ, the Son of God, Son of Man; the Word made flesh who is God. He was and is a radical reformer; the ultimate ‘equaliser,’ the total disruptor of the stasis of normal. One sent to Bethlehem from heaven, born a divine fully God human by the Holy Spirit, to Mary the mid-teen virgin girl. His destiny? Not to stay ‘sweet baby Jesus in a manger,’ held by a ‘perpetual virgin holy mother of our Lady Mary.’ As great and wonderful as she is… No, for His destiny is a TURN OVER! Turning the world on its head; setting in motion a new era of history with fresh New Testament blank leaves, ready to be filled with words as sharp as swords, and power that created the universe and all that we live in…
Mary n’ Jesus
‘One day a long time ago, the Lord God Saviour of the World, was in Bethlehem town on a starry starry night with a twinkling palette of blue and grey; born in a humble barn amongst animals and straw, surrounded by the pungent aroma of cow, sheep, and goat poop, that wafted and wouldn’t go away.’ Phew!
Like us, He grew as a human with all the learning, temptations, and things that shape our lives. His true divinity, glory, power and identity were ‘hidden,’ (like the ‘tradie Blacksmith king’ in many an ancient story), until the Lord’s great reveal at 30 years old.
Jesus Christ God, lived in a real family with a mum and dad; around eight siblings, several brothers and sisters (Mary wasn’t a virgin very long! Oh… after 2000 years, you didn’t know that?! Matt 13:55-56, 1:25, Mark 6:3, Luke 8:19, John 2:12).
Mary was highly favored by heaven!! Mary’s womb was blessed!! Jesus Christ Saviour of the world lived cosy in her amniotic fluid for 9 months; with Holy Spirit keeping an eye on Him!! Joseph’s, tradie fit spermatozoa, kept the blessing of the family line going, meeting with some very, ‘healthy blessed, fertile Mary ovum eggs!’ Hey! It was His adored wife; love and sex was part of the deal!
The angel Gabriel told teen Mary,“Rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women!” Luke 1:28. Mary’s kinswoman, Elizabeth, shouted out in prophecy. “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb!" Luke 1:42. Another female voice!“A woman calls out, "Blessed is the womb that bore you and the breasts at which you nursed!" Jesus replies, "Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and keep it!" Luke 11:27-28.
Mary’s baby milk, was the perfect balance of fats, proteins, carbs, vitamins and minerals, for healthy kids; including the Lord. With the blessings of heaven decreed and bestowed upon Mary, she couldn’t help bearing the greatest of family fruit; she was a blessed orchard of human production! Guy’s, even though Mary and her milk was good and blessed, Jesus made it clear; the word of God heard and believed was even way better food than what His Mother Mary fed Him (as great as she was). More importantly, you are also blessed very much, if you believe and keep it all in your heart!!
Jesus’ home, outside of the holy womb, was in the dusty small Jewish village of no consequence, Nazareth, not so far from the sea, located in the Lower Galilee region. He was by location a Nazarene. He did everyday family things with His siblings, and had a tough growing journey and a work life, that shaped and prepared Him to be the mighty strong and resilient Saviour of the World, in a well prepared human body!
Jesus Young
Jesus, having turned twelve years old, was on his first visit with His family in Jerusalem for the Jewish Passover feast, something his parents attended every year till this time. He had been so looking forward to this holiday break from the village, and taking new steps to becoming a man. When the feast was over, the family company of relatives and acquaintances headed home as you do. They assumed Jesus was with them (never assume anything!). But Jesus had other ideas on this adventure to town! He um… ‘lingered behind’ and er… ‘got lost.’
His parents eventually left the traveling caravan of family, and went all the way back to the city to find Him. After three days of hectic searching for their ‘missing’ child, ‘they found him’ in the temple (why didn’t they look there on the first day?). Maybe He didn’t want to be found! Whilst His parents were in the city stressed to the max; over three wonderful days alone, Jesus was deeply and intelligently listening to the priests. He weighed every word, learning, and asking them many a varied question; astonishing everyone who heard His replies, in the many rapid dialogues they observed Jesus having with the priests.
Mary was beside herself with anxiety as any mum would (she’d ‘lost the Lord’!) (Luke 2:41-47), yet, also amazed and relieved at what He was doing when they found Him sitting calmly, looking very ‘un-lost.’ But… in the intensity of the moment, she gave Him a motherly mouthful anyway…!
“What are you doing here!? Don’t you know you’ve been driving me and dad crazy with worry for three days now, wondering where in the heavens you are!” Mother Mary blurted.
“What’s the problem mum, why are you worried and looking for Me, didn’t you know I’m doing My Fathers very cool business.” Jesus replied, looking at them quizzically half smiling. I’m sure the largest company of angels were shining their golden light of protection around Him and admiring His wisdom in and around the temple, watching over Him. Their Lord Jesus was in a completely different zone, with a newly ignited profound head space, whilst away from the mundane routine of His home village life.
His future began to spark in Him that day, but He was way ahead of time in this prophetic Saviour journey. No doubt His ‘apparent lingering’ was intentional… after all, the destiny of taking care of THE business had kicked in! But that future fulfilled, was not as close as His young mind may have thought… He was not quite ready for the heavy ‘battle business’ that was to come in His life.
His well intended family, didn’t understand at all what he’d said to them in the temple. Jesus, now a growing young pre-teen man, left them speechless. But mum’s sharp intuition, kept all He said in her heart; along with how grown up he suddenly looked, the light in His eyes, the aroma of flowers in the air, and the warm way His head slowly turned to her when she arrived. (The camera in her head would never forget that day). Mother Mary then let it be…
However, He was obedient to His parents as he clicked back into boy son mode, and left with them for the journey back to Nazareth. At home, after His Jerusalem adventure, He began to accelerate in wisdom, stature, living in favour with God and man (Luke 2:48-52). The adult journey was on; for the making, shaping, and preparation of this Son of Man Saviour!

Christmas Time! Looking forward to a home cooked lunch in the sun with my fam! It will be great!
So, there I was, training in my modest gym at home as I do each day. The Spirit clearly spoke to me about this writing - Turn over Tables. 1. The idea of truly understanding who Jesus really is in His life. 2. To then comprehend the things He ultimately did, and were recorded in the gospels, are a clear metaphor and last days example for informing our decisions as the Church, in the fullness of the end-times.
‘We all want to be like Jesus, right?!’ Well… let’s discover this journey; briefly following His life, family & work, and the important preparation for His adult ministry, to find out why He radically turned over those religious tables once and for all! This was the time when His momentum fully started moving forward with His chosen disciples… but I continue…
Jesus - ‘Just a Carpenter?’
Jesus had a significant prophetic taste of His divine future that day at the feast, as the young true ‘owner’ of the Jerusalem temple with all His Godly wisdom, except… He was years ahead of time! I guess that’s normal for the living Emmanuel, the ‘Alpha and Omega’ (Revelation 1:8)! However, Jesus first had a lot of ‘natural’ life to live in His native Nazareth; to toughen Him up in His ‘human body sleeve,’ and prepare Him for the rigours of His future ministry.
As scripture says, ‘However, the spiritual is not first, but the natural, and afterward the spiritual’ 1 Corinthians 15:46.
At twelve years old, Jesus was still at the boy to man stage of life, experiencing and dealing with all the emotional and physical acceleration at that age; ok, puberty... He’d already started His apprenticeship with His dad Joseph as a pre-teen, and it’s in that growing physicality, He was to become a well trained, tekton; builder, carpenter, stonemason, artisan. Jesus grew in the craft and work, growing in favour with God and man. He was known in that professional capacity encompassing all those skills, in his home area of the Nazareth Galilee community; as a carpenter, or the carpenter’s son (Mark 6:3, Matthew 13:55).
The Tekton Work
The work of a ‘Tekton’ was to be a highly skilled artisan craftsman. He builds and constructs in a range of artistic professions. In our modern minds of understanding, to only call Jesus a ‘simple carpenter’ really doesn’t cut it describing what He was trained to be; it’s an artistry that took years.
As a ‘Teki’, Jesus grew into a versatile tradesman and builder, skilled and knowledgeable in the ‘techne’ of shaping various materials into functional everyday well-made objects and structures. Including roof building, furniture, wagons, chariots and even ships! Imagine if He’d helped build the fishing boats the disciples used in the early days!
Stonemason work was a tough heavy lifting dynamic for a tekton artist, as stone rather than wood, was the dominant building material of houses, buildings and the temple. They would also use a specific royal stone for temple repairs too. (It’s ironic, if Jesus ever did work in temple repairs, that He also unleashed His damaging turn over wrath in there as well; being the true Living Temple that would be raised up in three days after He died on the cross (John 2:21, Colossians 2:9)! His job is connected to so many things and metaphors of who He truly is!
Tektons also often worked with iron, bronze and other metals, making tools and even weapons such as swords. In general building, a job assignment could be constructing towers, defence walls, bridges and even oil mills. They were respected in their professional craft, and Jesus was known for that. His earthly job was like as in the creation… ‘in the beginning God created…’ Genesis Chapter 1, ‘the Creation’ mirrored Jesus future creative artisan profession on earth, before His Saviour ministry began, first with His work and then the many creative miracles, signs and wonders as Saviour and Lord.
Jesus Tradie - Work & Ministry
In our current era 2026 plus, you could call Jesus a ‘Chippie, Tradie,’ as carpenters mostly work with timber doing manual labour. But in Jesus time, most of the hard sweat work in His profession was cutting and carving big limestone rocks and the volcanic basalt stone blocks for houses and buildings! His job was not a soft one, perched on a chair inside an office staring at screens, it was a tradie tough one; gnarly, and requiring much strength and resilience lugging around massive pieces of rock. His body was tough and able as He grew; hands calloused and cut, perhaps bleeding everyday.
Jesus knew the daily routine of a ‘morning break’ and sitting around on ‘blue esky’s’ with a packed lunch with the boys; chatting about life and laughing together, telling each other stories. He became a man’s man; people related to Him. Routine is good. He had ‘a life'. He did this work for around 18 years in a community; He would have known many families locally and beyond in the region. He eventually became the major house provider for His own family, carrying on His ‘dad’s business’ after Joseph died; probably when Jesus was a little older in His early to late 20s. We don’t know exactly when that actually happened historically. Jesus continued faithful in that business, before he was ready for the eternal ‘Father’s Business’ from 30 years old.‘He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much…’ Luke 16:10. In Jesus’ future he had so MUCH to do! One day the rock breaking and making would end. He became, and still is; the Rock!
Again, He is the example for us when there is confusion between what is ‘ministry and work.’ Thought: they are one and the same in reality, they both have their timing and both need to be done. They are woven together in your life, one informs the other, preparing you in the real time reality of living in this world. It often takes decades to prepare us, like Jesus. There is a timing to really touch the world, it may not be when you think. Keep working your gifts and passion God gave you; do well, earn money, be kind to yourself, be responsible like Jesus was in His artisanship! You may have world touching ‘hors d'oeuvres moments’ on the way, but always stay close to the Lord by His Spirit, for when He leads you and the time comes for table turn over ministry, you better be ready for the war and battle! Once you’re all in, there is no looking back… I often say,‘Life is a continual dance between the mundane and the profound.’
Who is Jesus really?
In our modern era, we have many traditional images of what Jesus looked like as a man. Art through the centuries has branded and gilded our minds with all sorts of versions. The image of a bearded, long-haired Jesus became standardised in Byzantine art around the sixth century, and has endured deeply in our imagination traditions and Western art to this day. The most common we default to, is the ‘movie’ version; tall, slender, long hair, beard and blue eyes, gliding along the road with His faithful followers, with sunbeams bursting from the skies like big Hollywood spot lights, with epic orchestral sound tracks. In fact…it appears the true Jesus look on earth, was quite the opposite. Bible scripture shows us what He grew to be like, in a village of no reputation with about 12 families, and He wasn’t a head turner ‘looker’ with an agent.
Jesus - Not Good Looking!
What! Hard to believe? Let’s see…The prophetic words of Isaiah read;‘For He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant (this symbolised Jesus’ modest humble beginnings born in a barn, living in a place of no repute before God the Father. A ‘weak and vulnerable’ start to life in society. A metaphor of the Lord’s resilience to rise up from that life into a very strong man. One who overcame the dark harshness of the spiritual atmosphere of the day and eking out a living; yet, eventually becoming the Great Disruptor, heralding a New Testament era of Truth and Christianity), and as a root out of dry ground (theologians agree, He was rough looking, with a tough start in a dry spiritual atmosphere).’ Then we read…
‘He has NO form or comeliness (not attractive or good looking), and when we see Him, there is NO beauty that we should desire Him (not handsome or desirable - Wow!). He is despised and rejected by men, a Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him; He was despised, and we did not esteem Him’ (Isaiah 53:2-3) (not recognisable, below average looking). Most religious Christians today, old and contemporary, do not have a view of Jesus this way. Art usually presents otherwise…
(Later in His ministry, the rogue devil possessed disciple Judas, had to physically kiss the Lord in the garden of Gethsemane in his betrayal of Jesus. The Roman soldiers, chief priests and elders with the crowd who came to arrest Jesus, then knew exactly who He was, amongst many average familiar faces with beards (Matthew 26:48-50)!
It was also very likely Jesus had short hair too (unless He pushed against tradition), as ‘Jewish men in the culture of Jesus’ day, in Roman-occupied Judea, had relatively short hair, often between their ears and shoulders, in contrast to the longer styles often depicted in Western art. Apostle Paul’s writing also suggests long hair was seen as a disgrace for men’ (1 Corinthians 11:14). However, beards were very common for Jewish men, and considered a sign of masculinity, dignity, and being religious of faith in God.’
His destiny was also to be well acquainted with those who suffer, as He suffered first and was often despised and rejected on many levels. He identified with everything that many people went through in life with the compassion and love of a True Living God who had lived a real life too. He was not esteemed or elevated like a good looking star preacher that people would follow. He was to understand and be there for them, however low in station; the greatest among us who served with heaven’s power (Luke 22:26)!
‘Just as many were astonished at you, so His visage was marred more than any man, and His form more than the sons of men; (Isaiah 52:14).
This verse shows us Jesus face and body were marred and disfigured beyond any man especially on the cross. Indicating His physical form was not ultimately impressive or attractive, mayb a few sharp rock cuts here and there! But His true significance that astonished others; is through His words, faith in the Father and the power of the Holy Spirit that went with Him; seen through His deeds and actions. However in the spiritual realm, the look and image of Father, Son and Holy Spirit is a different matter altogether…
The Perfection of Beauty
‘From Mount Zion, the perfection of beauty, God shines in glorious radiance.’ Psalm 50:2 (NLT).
We can see clearly from scripture that God in all His fullness; Father, Son and Holy Spirit, is perfect in beauty beyond anything we deem beautiful or handsome here on earth. When the Father sent the Son Jesus to be the Son of Man and the world’s Saviour through Mary, it wasn’t the time to reveal the heavenly Jesus God in all His beautiful perfection, it was about absolute sacrifice. Laying everything down on earth for the sake of all mankind, including even how He looked!
The physical Mt Zion in Israel IS a Beauty to God, because it reflects Jesus Christ the Son, who is spiritual Zion, the cornerstone of everything. “Behold, I lay in Zion a chief cornerstone, elect, precious, and he who believes on Him will by no means be put to shame.” 1 Peter 2:6. Isaiah 28:16 prophesied, “Behold, I lay in Zion a stone for a foundation, a tried stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation …”
Everything about Jesus as the Son of Man speaks of deep humility; where He was born, where He lived, what He looked like, and the Job He did as a divine human. Everyday cutting and preparing limestone and basalt stone blocks for building as a tekton carpenter, reminded Him of his own calling and destiny; as He being the first stone being laid for a new foundation for His relationship with mankind through believing and faith. That His life is the precious, chosen, Chief foundation cornerstone of our faith; fully tried and tested in human life.
This is why He became a carpenter; a Son of man being ‘shaped and carved’ in His own daily work, so when He was ready, He would be the rock of offense that turned the religious world on its head. He grew to become that offense, for the priests in the temple who continually didn’t believe in Him.“Behold, I lay in Zion a stumbling stone and rock of offense, and whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” Romans 9:33. You can start to see why He turned the tables over.
You can see what Jesus did on earth is truly and utterly remarkable, as He kicked off the new and better covenant and promises (Hebrews 8:6, 12:24). Jesus is the only mediator between God and mankind, (1 Timothy 2:5) That means: there is NO OTHER. All the other many religions and their leaders, and cult spin offs, are liars; deceptive fantasy and fake distractions from THE REAL TRUTH, Jesus Christ. He made our current future 2026+ possible today; to be ready in pure and simple surrendered faith, love, and Holy Spirit guided anticipation for His soon return to planet earth, that He amazingly created through Him and for Him (Colossians 1:16).
“But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels… to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant…” Hebrews 12:22, 24.
The Lord is PERFECT
“Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.” Matthew 5:48
“Honour and majesty are before Him; strength and beauty are in His sanctuary.’“ Psalm 96:6
The Bible teaches that God’s nature is perfect, that perfect beauty and strength emanates from His presence, it is reflected in all the creation He made, and His people who are filled with His Spirit and presence. IN CHRIST through our faith, we have been made whole and perfect on earth, we then walk that out in the gift of life, in a living relationship of liberty with our Living God. This was the ‘drink’ Jesus offered to the honest woman outside at the well. Her validation, beauty, intimacy, and the worship she yearned to experience, wasn’t found through multiple men in earthly marriage (where women could be written off at a male whim with a certificate of divorce), but is fulfilled with Jesus… in faith, full of His Spirit. That her whole being can become the passionate worship she desired to give her God.
For Jesus’ life on earth, ‘it wasn’t about Him.’ He came to serve; it was about the every day people in all their earthly chaos and quandaries, helping them find the True Father through Him; this was a POV way beyond the dark hypocrisy of the religion of the day. At 30 years old He finally drew the line in the sand. He was the One, the Builder, the King of the Universe that became the foundation Rock of Liberty and freedom for all mankind who simply believe in Him…
Meanwhile back in Nazareth; with His fellow tradie father Joseph, Jesus continued learning scriptures, preparing Himself, and being aware and learned of all the Jewish customs in and around Galilee through His working life. He also saw all the hypocritical, binding heavy burdens, rules very hard to bear, that He grew to hate about the Judaic religion (Matthew 23!). After many years, the appointed time and opportunity came where He could do something about it.
That day arrived when He was just thirty years old, after 18 years of cutting stone, in solid, hard, skilled trade work, in a wide community of people. Then His cousin John baptised Him. The Holy Spirit settled upon Him! Then Jesus accelerated by the Spirit, went into an immense spiritual war for three and a half years!
The Apostle John who Jesus loved, saw a different Jesus reveal in the book of Revelation, the heavenly Jesus, so in contrast to the one He knew as the Son of Man. But that my beauties is still the profound beauty yet to come...
“Then I looked, and behold, a Lamb standing on Mount Zion…” (Revelation 14:1).
Jesus Baptised
When Jesus was water baptised by Cuz John in that family moment, the booming voice of the Father was heard from heaven, as He declared and decreed Jesus’ reveal, into the fullness of His earthly short three and a half years of ministry.“This is My Son, the Beloved, with whom I am well pleased,” (Matthew 3:17, Mark 1:11, Luke 3:22).
Up to that 30 year old point, it’s apparent the Lord had done very well in the life given Him to prepare for His ultimate assignment on earth; pleasing the Father. It was the beginning of a New Testament era of history, and Jesus being an example to us who believe; ‘to follow Him, be like Him, led by the Spirit' (Romans 8:14).
Jesus, from the age of twelve and as a man, visited the temple in Jerusalem to observe Passover for the next 18 years. He watched, discussed, learning much from each experience; His spirit always quickened. But every time he went home, the pendulum swung back to His hard working tekton tradie job. For many of people that could be seriously frustrating (like going on a ministry tour for a few weeks, ministering and giving out everyday, then coming back to the humdrum of normal life feeling all out of sorts!), but… He still couldn’t be fully revealed in who He truly is, until His appointed time. However, He certainly kept a keen eye on those offending ‘tables,’ during His visits to Jerusalem; one day formulating a clear plan of complete disruption.’ ‘Olympic table throwing!’
Jesus Disruptor
The disruption, Jesus was destined to bring, and the leaves He would turn over, was a tsunami of reformation so great in the long term, that it changed the course of history for the following 2000 plus years; economically, politically, and spiritually. This is and was, ‘Emmanuel God with us,’ Isaiah’s prophecy repeated in Matthew 1:23. Jesus God, set the world into a new level of warfare and battle for the real truth, that extended right down through the ages to our end-time days now in 2026, where it is all escalating. So… it’s of the utmost of importance, that we all follow the right Jesus by HIS Spirit, knowing HIM intimately, and doing HIS will in these end-days.
The changes Jesus brought, was never a nice sweet religious upheaval, but a fiercely radical change that would cost the Son’s initial earth life, with His own sacrifice on a cross and consequent unique resurrection. Something that never happened to any other ‘spiritual leader’ on earth; in all their manner of false cultic doorways, ideologies, and deceptions.
His ultimate act of humility on the cross, and what He achieved for our salvation and eternity, profoundly simplified the way mankind could freely and boldly approach the TRUE God of love, mercy, kindness, grace, salvation and healing; anytime, anywhere! Bringing men and women into an equality of faith and the endless possibilities of fulfilling destinies and lives. When the curtain veil of access to the Holy of Holies, ripped in two in the temple when Jesus died; He changed everything… It was a loud earthquake shattering ‘trumpet turn over call’ ending the separation between God and humanity. Jesus opened bold direct access to God by faith (Hebrews 11:6), which pleases God, through Christ's sacrifice laying down His earth life for us… Selah (Matthew 27:51, Mark 15:38)
Jesus Treated Women with Love and Respect
The Bible clearly presents us with a Jesus who treated women beautifully, with kindness, patience, tenderness and grace; many women followed Him; they felt seen. He didn’t treat women as worthless nothings to be abused. He didn’t require an army of dark radical disciples, deluded into killing people who didn’t believe in Him, bringing fear, hatred and chaos into the world. He made disciples out of rough diamonds, that would grow to be fully themselves, yet, become like Jesus! Ambassadors of Christ!
Jesus also didn’t marry little girls and multiple wives; He wasn’t on earth for that! His One Bride is the Church of the Living God! He treats and has treated Her absolutely wonderfully, setting Her up now for a fullness of impact in these end-times! However, man made ideas and vicious religious ideals, have often made her (the Church) look like the great whore of Babylon through the centuries! Today, the blurred lines of subtle deception, and Jezebel influence in our contemporary world, are hard to see if you are not awake and Holy Spirit aware.
In these end-times, the glory of a believing woman will shine in all her beauty (1 Corinthians 11:7). Many will see women who are surrendered to the Lord with such grace and power, as a testimony of truth and the actual reality of the TRUE God of love; those people awakened will give their lives to Christ! (Isaiah 60:1-3).
Jesus came to earth as the epitome of Gods TRUE love and power; the Saviour of the world, the Prince of Peace, the name above every name. The King of the Universe, the absolute Lord of every self appointed other lord with a ‘false god name,’ and false dark violent ideology. God IS LOVE, ‘He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.’ (1 John 4:8). If you don’t see real love, kindness or true ‘peace’ in a religion on TV news or the socials, you must intelligently question which spirit it comes from; because it’s not from the heavenly Father God! Then where it is from…? What’s real and true? This is the quest of real spiritual discernment in the end-times…
Jesus - Zeal for His House
Funnily enough; over 2000 years ago, Jesus on earth was also ‘the CEO owner, Senior Pastor, Lead Pastor, Shepherd oversight, Apostle Prophet Scholar High Priest of our faith…’ of the Jerusalem temple! Although, the priests didn’t know it and were blissfully unaware. It was there in that building as the Son of Man, Son of God, where Jesus did something that absolutely shocked everybody.
At that point in His journey, He was in a no compromise state of mind; the Son of God on a serious mission. For years, as a hard working tradie, He’d seen the man-made heavy rules, and the old laws that His priests still deeply burdened His people, adding to their suffering under Roman rule (Matthew 23); His Turn Over Anointing was ready to go…
One day He’d had enough, the time had come, and He entered that temple to completely clean house; something He’d planned for years, as He ‘lingered’ in His village life, working and waiting for destiny. He also had to do it alone as our Supreme Leader, as an example for us today in 2026+; this current future. He then proceeded to ‘beat the crap’ out of all of His priests with a whip of chords! Why oh why!? Because all the priests, ‘had swallowed the fly…!’
Consequently, they became terrible hypocrites, whitewashed tombs, monument lovers, altar and temple swearers, dead tomb stones, camel swallowers and gnat strainers, snakes, serpents, broods of vipers, sons of the devil, lawless kingdom shutters, widow devourers, sons of hell, blind guides, fools and blind, full of extortion and self-indulgence, stoners and prophet killers, murderers and historic blood shedders, persecutors scourgers and crucifiers, evil religious hypocrites, hideous merchandisers, condemned to hell! Phew; gnarly semantics right?! Jesus’ words (Matthew 23!). Yes! He said them! His priests were the ‘zombie living dead of religion,’ bad, seriously rotten smelly apples, with blue mould and wiggly demon worms, flaccid and useless, rolling around in a big barrel of religiosity, people not done good! Dead while they lived… Oh… my… gosh!
They were ‘earless’ alien fools, who didn’t hear or believe in Jesus. The Spirit of the Lord was not in them. Their default was the devil’s way; “kill Jesus when He opens His mouth.” You can imagine how Jesus felt. His mission as Saviour was and is to make ‘dead people alive’ who are outside of Christ, and who don’t have the Spirit. He didn’t come just to make the ‘bad people good’ as you can’t do that in your own strength at all, by any rules. You can only truly have that through His Spirit living in you, making you ALIVE - IN CHRIST. But you have to love, trust and hold on to the Master Jesus always, to live in that truth being real. The priests never did; that’s why He did what He did! The ‘Turn Over Massacre!’
Jesus had a massive turn over moment in the temple. ‘His ‘beating up the priests’ in His ‘Church,’ and driving out all the animals, wheelers and dealers, was and is, a very important and poignant moment in history. I’m not suggesting ‘beating’ anybody here. But Jesus shows us by His example, there comes a point in the line of history when certain religions of the day, whatever it is, has a defining moment that cannot be tolerated anymore, and as we follow Him it can take us into new paths of life we may not have expected; especially in these end-times. We are in those days now…
The temple revolutionary moment, was the second main ‘event’ Jesus did in His ‘new ministry,’ after going to a local wedding in Cana, with His family. There He started to reveal His glory by 'turning’ water, (H₂O in large pots), into something else; around 180 gallons (680 litres) of the best wine ever! They had already ran out of alcohol, and He gave them a miracle of what they thought they needed in the traditional celebration.“You want wine? Ok… I’ll fill you with wine more than you’ll ever need!” Boy did they get drunk that week! But… little did they know, ‘The New Wine’ Himself, that the revellers and the temple actually needed, had visited their wedding event and they didn’t know who He really was. “Oh…isn’t that the tradie Jesus guy from Nazareth?”
Jesus left the wedding with his family and His growing followers and went to Jerusalem for the Passover. It was now the ‘time of cleansing!’ Fresh from the labatios wedding worshipers at the wedding, He was deeply stirred in His Spirit, against the Priesthood of the Dead in His temple; they were certainly not filled with any good wine of any sort! They were deceivers and it was time to radically change things. The ‘zeal for Your house has eaten Me up’ (John 2:17). It was ‘Jesus’ zealous love tipping point, for the True Church,’ the anticipation and waiting had gnawed at His insides for a long time! At last, He was now in His ministry, ‘in office,’ and every needed executive order was being signed on His table, and executed quickly! Actually… how zealous are we for the truth now in these last days…? Or are we just conforming and not thinking?
Jesus Turning over Tables
What Jesus found at the temple, was a place resembling a crass overpriced super market without checkouts or trolleys, and the managers and customer service were useless. They were deeply lost in their traditional ‘modus operandi’ of outdated sales items’ and red spot specials. The religious priesthood of the dead, selling product, trinkets, animals, international money exchange, even bird dung; anything to make a shekel, pay their salaries, and keep their secure ‘free temple perks,’ as well as the building looking cool, nice and respectable. Vending machines and a cafe, would have just topped it off!
The tekton muscle built on Jesus’ well-worn tradie arms, were flexin’ holy poppin’ blood vessels in a rage; for some serious spiritual lashing, and very heavy table flipping. He was tradie fit and ready to go! He arrived at the temple pre-infuriated. The time had come. Adrenalin was pumping! He’d made a whip of chords and became the lasher of falsehood. It was time for the spiritual purge…this‘Rock of offense’ was ready to roll…’
Not a Roman scourge torture whip with broken metal pieces, as that would have marred and ruined the delicate priests forever, but He made it with leather strips, sharp reeds, and small cords of rope. It still would have hurt much with a hard crack, and probably drew blood, aka ‘film noir splats’ in some cases, staining tender soft priestly skin crimson red. But it represented His righteous anger to cleanse the House once and for all with a ‘modicum of grace,’ and much overturning power. Still want to be like Jesus? ‘Yay!?’
Everyone felt his wrath and were chased away. It could be heard… ‘Isn’t this the buff guy from down the road in Nazareth, that ‘nobody’ carpenter’s son? What’s He doing to us! Why is He ruining our livelihood, our Church property and our religious business? Look at the state of our tables… tables… tables… tables… tables…’ That word echoed in Jesus mind like a raw cuss bomb… He thought, “See! Your house is left to you desolate…!” (Matthew 23:38).
Jesus’ mind shifted to King David - the fiery, handsome redhead musician He loved in aeons past - and with that same passion for truth surging in Him, the Lord Jesus left the temple. His desire for a godly House of Prayer needed a new home, He promptly slammed and bashed a door with His fist on the way out!
Jesus Our Example for NOW - Time to Think! Put on Your hats…
Important to consider: What do you do end 2025 - 2026, nearly four years post-plandemic… in the rapidly moving end-times, heading toward global disruption and the ultimate return of Christ… when… ‘the temple church building organization you belong to, becomes something it wasn’t supposed to be?’ Challenge it all, and yourself; with intelligent Holy Spirit led thought, with intent to see change and resolve!
Think wisely and critically, making Spirit led choices, which the Bible encourages you to do (Hebrews 13:7). For ‘false christs and false prophets will arise and show great signs and wonders, so as to deceive, if possible, even the elect’ (Matthew 24:24). Like Jesus, you may just have to ‘leave the House and shut the door with a bang!’
Go find or establish yourself somewhere else, like many have in the last four years, re-evaluating what they have given their life to in the religious Church space, especially during the shut, close, and lock-down. Jesus went ‘interstate’ to Samaria, after His ‘turn of events’ at the temple, a place where the priests would never go. He wanted connection with honest people who would listen to Him; the priests didn’t! He knew all along; they just wanted to extinguish His life.
Jesus desired people of passion who could wake up the world and believe fully in Him. His whole human life on earth is our metaphors and examples for us now; ‘being like Jesus today,’ in an immensely troubled world. You may have come from nothing like Jesus from Nazareth, but you too can do amazing even greater works with faith in the Lord (John 14:12).
The disciple Nathanael said, “Can anything good come out of Nazareth?” (John 1:46). Apparently not, until Jesus Christ Saviour was revealed!
Jesus - Be Like the REAL Him
It’s that question again: “Do you really want to be like Jesus?” Of course you do! We are being made to be like Him by the workmanship of the Spirit in us (Ephesians 2:10). But the road of faith in this end-time era is not going to be soft with ease; with a church spiritual merry-go-round, of paying $$, attending meetings, candy floss focused on just worldly things and success like in the past. More than likely it may not be very pretty, it may require you to do something completely different from what has been in your life. It’s ‘new leaf table time’ and there are many leaves to consider… (pun intended), however, the Holy Spirit knows the best ones; follow Him...
Word: It’s time to Turn over Tables
The ‘positive well-intended preacher,’ from the start of this article, may still be spouting their same old message of yesteryear; sounding like a parody of the past, possibly unaware of their ever diminishing impact. Still not even publicly acknowledging the end-time, last days we live in; or teaching and preparing their people to be Bride Ready for Jesus for the great changes ahead of us, and the Lord’s soon return to earth.
You may not see it at first, but these are withering contemporary tables we must be able to see, be aware of, understand, ‘overturn’ if needed, and not sup on them anymore; as the changes coming in this world will be radical in the 2026+ future, and the old ways will not sustain you. It won’t be just‘a success life, getting better and better every year, and everything’s all good’!
Your salvation is an extremely precious treasure from God! If the word for the global Church is ‘Get Ready…’ then we must! Also be intentionally cognizant and wise of whose hands we put our lives and families into; holding the ‘spiritual umbrella!’
You may be in an organisation or movement that boasts many expanding churches, conferences, events etc etc, or just a single local church or campus; all those things are good and are results of growth, however, ask yourself this in context of today… ‘What sort of disciples are they actually creating?’ Do they follow and know the true and real Jesus? Are they preparing a true Church who can survive, endure and handle immense societal changes and spiritual pressures? Or, are they followers of personalities and the idyllic Sunday cultures of men that look and taste like the real thing? Contemporary cultures, that may eventually lead you away, and cave-in to the coming global system of control and anti-christ world, ending up being part of the great falling away? (2 Thessalonians 2:3). Shocking to imagine! But remember also the Lord Jesus’ words (Matthew 24:24). It’s very possible… deceived elect… deceived elect…
Loudly, the echo fills the air of this expanding religious tension, “Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues” (Revelation 18:4). We must adjust and change; following the Holy Spirit intimately close, if we are going to reach this world with the true Jesus gospel, by the water wells of thirsty millions, and endure these difficult end-times of upheaval and chaos just ahead.
Word for Leaders (Written early 2024)
“I see many contemporary church leaders becoming the parody’s of their past selves; still preaching success and life principals, and never addressing the truths of scriptures about what Jesus said of these last days we live in. That there is an end of all things, and His return is imminent when certain signs are happening; we are now already in the midst of many of those signs. The fact there is an end of this world as we know it will be a major contention to accept, among many church going Christians in these last days.
What use will ‘that jaded gospel’ be when the tens of thousands who follow these leaders, have not been equipped with the relational strength in walking with God in true surrender and consecration. Following men and cultures that have failed them in truly knowing the Lord and His word, and about the truth of these end-times?
Thousands have bought into a ‘gospel construct’ for years centred around a best life of blessings: houses, cars, jobs, money, success and a comfortable existence. A worldly success ‘gospel’ tied to contemporary church cultures that will gradually become irrelevant, as they bind and blind their followers, who will be lost when the evil control of this world has a grip on everything; before Christs return! Don’t be deceived, question everything, and be absolutely discerning.”
Table Talk
We are Nearly Done - Please Be Patient in the front row… :) As we finish, let us review a quick time-line in what Jesus did after His reveal and water baptism by cousin John the Baptist; where the Holy Spirit came upon Jesus, and His ministry life began to accelerate and explode into His world. Just like it is now for us and to be prepared for it; we live in crazy days… it’s time to change… be wise and totally awake! There’s coming a day, when just talking is over…
Timeline To Turning Over Tables
1. Straight after baptism, the real war was on for Jesus; He couldn’t stay ‘hidden’ in the village any more! Jesus was, ‘led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. And when He’d fasted forty days and forty nights, afterward He was hungry.’ Matthew 4:1-2. Filled with the Spirit Jesus went into a hot gnarly wilderness with a fit, well trained, hard working tekton tradie physique; ready for battle; fasting not eating, to resist all the devil’s devices of temptation and attempts to discredit Him. After that 40 days, the devil gave up and left Jesus for a while, and good angels came and ministered to Him. The Saviour, Jesus The Rock was now in the ring, the Champions gloves were on, feelin’ a ‘little Rocky’ after no food, but the angel army served Him; for His name was going to be heard everywhere as He started the revolution…
2. Jesus gathered His disciples and He, His family and followers, were invited to a wedding at Cana where He turned water into wine. They stayed there a few days, as the Holy Spirit was accelerating Jesus life to such an extent, causing Him to turn and morph molecular structures of things into something else … the best vintage wine for starters (John 2:1-12).
3. Jesus went into the Temple, and after 18 years of tekton tradie work, took His quest and totally disrupted the business of religion, whacking everything with a whip o’chords, turning over huge heavy tables with His strength, frustration, and anger. Many were shaken into the kingdom that day! And they believed in Him (John 2:13-22).
4. Shortly after, Jesus spoke with one of the rattled leaders of Israel, Nicodemus, who had a modicum of nervous enquiry to the Lord, in the darkness of night. Nic still had his, ‘why did you beat us up face?’ and stupidly revealed his childish, worldly, spiritless religious thinking, asking himself, ‘How was he to climb back up into his mothers womb to be ‘born again!’ Obviously not in the Spirit at that point, and ‘still deluded and wearing a priest dress.’ Jesus astounded, said to him, “Are you the teacher of Israel, and do not know these things?… If I have told you earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things?” (John 3:9,12).
Nic was a symbol of the ‘Dead Religious Priest Dilemma’ for Jesus; the ‘higher’ they were the worse they seemed. The Lord seriously had enough of the DRPD, as it was laughable. His contention for truth would continue as things began to rapidly progress. Nic to his credit did follow the Lord. Jesus’ own disciples also baptised many, as did John the Baptist and his followers elsewhere. Even the religious Jews,’sons of the devil,’ were stirred up confronting John trying to trip him up! With this constant battle, it wouldn’t be too long until John’s beheading! Oh… I wonder what spirit does that?!… To the greatest prophetic voice ever…!
By this time, wherever you looked, ‘the tables’ of peoples lives were being overturned and new life was being created in new fresh untainted disciples; it would never stop in that New Testament ‘Saviour Move of God!’ His sound of power was echoing throughout the planet; the demons were hoping mad, the future changing forever… That future had its many historic challenges throughout the centuries, but look where we are now 2025 - into 2026! What a day to live and get ready for our Saviour to return!
5. Then the time came when Jesus ‘needed to go through Samaria’ (John 4:4). He was on the move, still vexed much in His spirit, going to a new place the priests in Jerusalem would never go. He did it to overturn the table of religious thinking, in the mind of an incredible, passionate, honest woman, at the well of Jacob. She had no resolves from her local priests, and was very confused about where to go to worship. Hmmm… a universal dilemma…
As we have seen, Jesus Christ the table turner, gave her one of the greatest freeing revelations in the Bible. The truth of TRUE WORSHIP, meaning; living by the Spirit 24/7, a life honest and transparent with nothing hide! This is the worship the Father in heaven is actually looking for on the earth; back then the people who understood this, seemed few and far between. True revival then came through the woman in Samaria; her fruit continued and lasted. The ministry and replication of Christ in a dark world was on a serious roll, there was no stopping it now; however, there was and is a price to pay... the surrender of your whole life to Christ!
Us Today
We all have sat at certain tables of faith for a long time that helped to shape our lives, and it was wonderful in the context of that time. But many of them in very recent years have begun to run their course just like the temple in Jesus day! If those tables don’t change in our coming end-days of societal chaos, their lamps could be removed spiralling them into a diminishing spiritual quandary of ineffectiveness; you will clearly know and the symptoms.
We have seen that happening already in various parts of the world since the plandemic, with certain mega churches and movements becoming something else altogether. ‘That other gospel mode’ brings ill repute to Jesus, abuse of people, financial deception, and all manner of control. The deep dysfunctions were already there for years, and in the right timing, as in the temple days, it became exposed for what they had become; a whitewashed wall turn over candidate!
The time has come now, where our lives need to be very strengthened and led by the Holy Spirit like never before, walking out our salvation maturely in a very personal way with the Lord (Philippians 2:12). Where our whole lives are a living worship to God, in all we are purposed and destined to do and become today, in 2026+ onwards.
In all of this, Jesus life example for us living in these last days, is that once you are filled with the Spirit, you will have battles in life, experiencing great spiritual warfare; especially now. These are the days when it’s happening all around us more than ever, in the Church, as well as in this whole world.
There are deluded spiritually dense dark people, killing innocents all over this planet, thinking they are doing some sort of grand spiritual take-over work for a god, but it’s all of the devil they unwittingly serve in his many disguises. One day they will deeply regret their folly and blindness; standing in the flames. The ‘hairy one,’ ‘diablos,’ is on a demonic, sulphuric hissing, violent rampage, having come down to make war with the saints, knowing his time for evil, bad robot influence against God’s people and creation, is very short (Revelation 13:7). And it is all becoming clearly obvious now in this world, to those who are awake and can see and hear…
The end-time battle is well and truly on, in a full dedicated demonic barrage against all THE TRUTH. Even non-believers in the world can see that something is very off and wrong. If you are in a ‘temple’ of church’ that needs it’s tables overturned, and has become a den of compromise; you cannot tolerate it - if you truly love God. Do not be blindsided, it’s ok to ‘turn it over;’ talk with leaders, be a voice, make a sound, consider a new change as God leads you. The shut-down plandemic did that by default in shaking up everything for millions of believers around the world, when we couldn’t ‘go to church’ or freely sing to worship God. Life has not been the same since…
Now
Ask yourself this same question today.“What have I given my life to?” “Am I really becoming more like Jesus?” or just conforming to religious culture? What do I need to overturn now and not procrastinate anymore?” “What ties to your soul are still holding you back from moving forward?” “What is truly happening in the world, with all the changes coming?” “How must I respond?”
It’s worth intelligently reflecting upon; actually essential! Jesus waited 30 years. He not only radically changed the world but affected all of human history, LIKE NO ONE ELSE. He waited patiently for the right timing. The trading tables, with their shakin’ shekel turnover, were creaking at their joints in the temple, quivering at Jesus’ imminent coming. They knew it wasn’t a caring tecktonian tradie repair he was bringing; His visit was not far away, coming to destroy them.
Today, if you have ears to hear and eyes to see, many spiritual tables are creaking so loudly in the kingdom, and becoming so wobbly in the challenges of this present day; the noise could make you deaf. Where we are positioned and connected, will be a very important decision in the days ahead… Trust the Holy Spirit; He is never wrong… and His timing is everything! Selah…
There was a prophetic Music Album a number of years ago in 2009 by the UK band Delirious, fronted by Martin Smith, “History Makers.” It’s time for all of us to rise up and become one of those people, in this end-time completion of history; that is what Jesus life shows us. Thank God for the Lord!
Jesus had a plan; to completely turn over timber and go to other places, in a poignant time and hour for doing things completely different. The tables He had known as a boy growing into man, had become worthy of about as much as a full flexed whack of a rope n’ reed whip! Ouch!! Splat!! Red!!

Final Thoughts for today…
None of us have been in the end of the end-times before, with all the invasion of technology we experience on every level of life.
We read about the end-times in the Bible, but now we are actually here, our journey is to understand and learn to navigate it all, know the tables where we need to sit with Jesus, and to be True Worshippers in a darkening world.
We must be ready as TRUE worshippers, to be true sons and daughters of God, ‘led by the Spirit’ (Romans 8:14). One day soon we may not be able to play the games of church religious protocols as we have known. How will we stand?
Global societal shifts and changes are accelerating at exponential rates in this world. We all need understanding how to navigate the chaotic and pressured times now and ahead of us as worshipping believers of Jesus Christ. Otherwise we may not have a table to sit at, and have our sound heard.
However, despite everything, we are designed to worship God intelligently; be wise, critical intelligent thinkers, and continue living it out on earth while we can. May all the hiding ones under weathered tables now emerge and find truth!

It’s a New Era of History
In 2021, I wrote a prophetic blog stating; ‘we have now transitioned in this time of immense change, into a New Era of History, both in the world at large, and in the Church.’
Things have never been the same since the plan-demic, and will not be ever again. These are the last of the last days…

PRAYER OF FAITH: The Call to give your life to Jesus Christ!
No matter where you are in your Christian walk, Jesus is with you; in your triumphs and trials, to the end! If you have never known God; know this;
“Lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the world (ages)” Amen’ Matthew 28:20. ‘
“But he who endures to the end shall be saved. And the gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.’ Matthew 24:13-14.
Pray this prayer from your heart and your spirit will come alive to God, for with him there is hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11).
“My Father in heaven, I give you my life, I repent of all my sin, recreate me brand new. I give you my heart. Fill me Lord Jesus Christ with Your Holy Spirit. I believe You died for me on the cross, and by Your shed blood, you washed away my sins once and for all. Raise me from my deadness of my life to live a new life, just like you Jesus, when you were raised from the dead; I believe you did that.
