Alcohol, stimulants, drugs, pharmaceuticals; in global epidemic use; humanity is high one way or another. Why did God make grapes for wine, coffee beans, tea leaf, cacao seed for chocolate, sugar cane, the opium poppy for heroin, coca leaf for cocaine and tobacco for smoking? He made all herbs for our benefit (Genesis 1:11-12)! Yet, we make things corrupted; forbidden fruit, doing no good: numbing brains, heart failures, ill health, addictions and cravings hard to control. It comforts? Yet, defiles bodies, contribute’s to sin without restraint, breaks life disciplines. Where’s the boundaries and standards? 2023, the world is deep in substance abuse, and global Pharma experimented on humanity; unsafe drug jabs in a pandemic chaos killing thousands. What does the Bible say? What’s the choices; are there any? Where’s the line drawn?
